Absolutely delicious exactly as written. And I did add the optional cream, which made the soup so much richer.
Love mushrooms, and this website is the best for unusual and interesting recipes.

Made it like above first time around second time added a dash of old brown sherry and and fresh cream came out like something out of God’s cookbook.

I made it and used rosemary and dill- substituted corn starch for the flour- very tasty!

This was a excellent starting point. I added a carrot, some rosemary, some oyster mushroom powder, and finished it off with a bit of heavy cream. Delicious!!!!

Very yummy! I added a small can of chicken, a small can of diced mushrooms since I was short a bit on the 10 ounces and cooked it a bit longer than it calls for since my potatoes were not finished. They were cut into bigger chunks not diced. .
